How does Genlook work?
Genlook adds a try-on button to your product pages. The shopper uploads a photo or takes one with their camera, and our AI generates an image of them wearing the product, based on the product photos already in your store. Most try-ons take under 10 seconds.
Which platforms does Genlook work with?
Genlook is available as a Shopify app, a WooCommerce plugin and a PrestaShop module. For other platforms, developers can use the Try-On API.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes 10 try-ons a month and doesn't require a card. The paid plans (Starter, Growth and Pro) include more try-ons each month, and try-ons beyond that are billed individually. The Pro plan also removes the Genlook branding.
How long does it take to set up?
Usually a few minutes. Install Genlook on your store, choose the products or collections that should have try-on, and the button appears on those product pages. You don't need to edit any code or theme files.
What types of products work?
Most clothing works, including dresses, tops, outerwear, denim, swimwear, activewear and bridal. Genlook also supports shoes, eyewear, hats, wigs and colored contact lenses. The product photos already on your store are usually enough, and clear photos give the best results.
Is customer data secure and private?
Yes. Customer photos are encrypted in transit and at rest, used only to generate the try-on image, and deleted automatically after 7 days. We never use them to train AI models. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I customize the widget appearance?
The widget follows your store's theme, and you can adjust its styling from the Genlook dashboard. If you need something the settings don't cover, contact our support team.
Can I select which product image is used for the try-on?
Yes. If a product has several photos, for example a jacket shown open and closed, you can choose which one is used for the try-on in the Genlook dashboard.
What languages does the widget support?
The widget uses your store's language automatically. It is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew and several other languages.
What is Live Try-On?
Live Try-On is a beta feature for Shopify stores. Shoppers open their camera and see the product on themselves in real time, without uploading a photo. It is off by default and can be turned on in your settings. Read the announcement.
What does the analytics dashboard show?
It shows how many shoppers see the try-on button and use it, which products get tried on most, and how conversion and revenue compare between shoppers who tried on and those who didn't. You can also collect shopper emails with their consent and send them to Klaviyo or Shopify.
