The "High-Intent" Signal
When a customer uses virtual try-on, they are sending a massive signal: "I am interested in how this looks on ME."
This is significantly higher intent than just browsing a collection page or even reading a product description. They are actively visualizing ownership.
Until now, if that user generated an image but didn't buy, that signal was lost. Maybe they needed to ask a friend's opinion, or maybe they were waiting for payday.
Introducing Integrated Email Collection
We've added a seamless way to capture these high-intent leads directly within the try-on flow.
You can now configure the Genlook widget to request an email address during the experience. We've designed this with a "Soft Block" approach to balance user experience with data collection:
- Tease the Value: Let the customer generate their first try-on image instantly, friction-free.
- Capture the Lead: To continue generating more looks or to save their results, ask for their email.
- Unlock the Experience: Once provided, they get unlimited access to the fitting room for that session.
Why This Works Better Than a Pop-up
Our data shows that users are far more willing to provide their email when it's part of a utility rather than an interruption.
- Value Exchange: They aren't giving you their email for a generic "newsletter"; they are giving it to unlock a personalized tool.
- Contextual Data: You know exactly what product they were trying on. This allows for incredibly powerful segmentation.
How to Use This Data
Imagine the retargeting possibilities:
- The "Looks Good on You" Email: Send a follow-up with the specific product they tried on, perhaps with a limited-time discount.
- Size-Specific Recommendations: Since you know they engaged with a specific fit, you can tailor future recommendations.
- Lookalike Audiences: Use this high-intent list to seed your ad campaigns on Meta or Google.

This feature is now available on all Genlook plans. To enable it:
- Go to your Genlook Dashboard.
- Navigate to Widget Settings.
- Enable Email Collection and choose your trigger step (we recommend after the 1st or 2nd generation).
